Hi, I'm Maren.
I’m 37, a licensed NYC rental agent, and for the past nine years, I’ve been helping people find homes across Brooklyn, Queens, and Manhattan. Somewhere around my three-hundredth "I have a dog, is that a problem?" phone call, I realized nobody was actually writing for the renter trying to navigate the city with a pet. So, I started this.
I live in a one-bedroom walk-up in Brooklyn with my rescue terrier mix, Noodle. Outside of work, you’ll find us doing weekend dog-park rounds across the borough, going on slow runs along the Hudson River Greenway, or testing out homemade dog treat recipes in my tiny kitchen (which usually leads to a new batch of "Noodle’s Nibbles" for my open-house clients).
My Background & Approach
Real Estate Experience: 9 years as a licensed NYC real estate salesperson, having placed over 400 renters—roughly a third of them with pets.
The "Pet-Ready Building Score": I developed a private checklist (covering pet clauses, elevator policies, nearby green space, and doorman attitudes) that I use to rate every listing I show.
NYC Pet Housing Law: I know the local landscape cold—from pet clauses and deposit limits vs. pet rent, to the exact distinctions between ESAs and service animals.
I don’t do sales-floor energy, and I won’t scare you into signing a lease you're unsure about. Think of me as the friend who sits down over coffee, walks you through the lease one clause at a time, and then texts you the name of a good vet two blocks from your new front door.
Welcome to a space built for city dwellers who refuse to leave their pets behind.
